It’s almost time to celebrate the holidays in South Florida, and if you haven’t started decking the halls quite yet, don’t worry, until after Thanksgiving. When it comes to holiday decorations, there’s an endless to-do list: Christmas trees, wreaths, garland, ornaments, tinsel, your neighbor’s 12-foot-tall inflatable Santa, and a needle, to name a few. If you have no idea where to start your seasonal retail journey, here are six spots to shop for holiday frills in South Florida.

Officially opened to the public last week, the highly-anticipated Urbanspace Holiday Market is bringing decorative home goods, gifts, apparel, jewelry, food, and beverages to Lincoln Road for the first time. The holiday market has earned a name in New York City, but now it’s time for Miami to get into the Christmas spirit. Hosting an eclectic mix of vendors, Urbanspace has created a winter wonderland among the palm trees that line Miami Beach’s iconic mile-long street. Beyond retail shopping, the limited-time venture invites guests to dance lessons, storytelling sessions, a pet portrait pop-up, ballet performances, and more. The holiday market is open now through Feb 15 daily, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Continuing a 50-year holiday tradition, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will again provide Christmas trees to the residents of South Florida this 2022 Christmas season. Officially opened Nov 21, the tree lot is adorned with gorgeous Fraser firs from North Carolina that have been hand-selected by President Alex Rodriguez-Roig, standing 5 feet to 14 feet tall. Poinsettias are also available. ‘Tis the season of giving back, and shoppers have the chance to with Sponsor-A-Child, helping to make a positive impact in the life of a local child. Proceeds from tree sales and Sponsor-A-Child will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s wide variety of programs for area youth in need, such as homework assistance, professional mentoring, after-school programs, dance, arts and crafts, and many more. Located at Hank Kline Club, the tree lot is open daily from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with limited Thanksgiving Day hours from 9:00 a.m. until midnight.

Notably known as South Florida’s largest Christmas decor store, The Christmas Palace is a one-stop-shop for everything holiday. Originally opened as a seasonal shop in 1992, the ornamental emporium is now an iconic South Florida spot that stays open all year. With a wide variety of items that fit all tastes, it is hard not to find what you’re looking for. Even if you are retail-shopped-out, simply visiting the venue will get you in the Christmas spirit as dazzling lights, wreaths, ornaments, and collectibles of the season adorn every inch of your surroundings. The Christmas Palace is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. The store’s Black Friday hours are 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

One of Miami’s premiere retail shopping hubs, Brickell City Centre, is getting into the holiday spirit this year with Holidays in the Centre. With four levels of luxury retail, you can find everything from ornaments for the tree to gifts for the family pet in one spot. Beyond buying, the Centre will display a Santa’s Ski Lift and Post Office with monthly events, including complimentary visits and photo opportunities with Santa from one p.m. to five p.m. beginning Black Friday and every Saturday and Sunday through December 19. After you stop in at any of the Centre’s 100+ stores, Santa’s helpers will be available to wrap your presents every Wednesday and Saturday from one p.m. to six p.m. until Dec. 21. Additionally, Brickell City Center’s complimentary Gather program is returning with activities for the little ones, such as decorating ornaments, musical storytelling classes, and book readings by local moms.
