Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka have always had a special spot in their hearts for Palm Beach, first as part-time residents of the town and now as year-round islanders. This season they’re showing that love with a new boutique at The Royal Poinciana Plaza that encapsulates what the area is all about. “We designed the store as a sleek white box with a gallery feeling in order to showcase our decidedly decorative product,” says Badgley. “We started coming down for trunk shows on Worth Avenue when we were beginning our career. The Palm Beach woman has truly developed our aesthetic and the understanding of our customer over the years.” And it shows. The new space, marked by expansive windows, driftwood floors and Spanish and Italian antiques, houses the entire Badgley Mischka oeuvre. That includes eveningwear, cocktail and daytime garments clearly influenced by their hometown, as well as handbag and jewelry collections that will only be available here. Curated extras such as oversized hurricane lamps, vases, beaded napkin rings, bench-made cache pots with Anglo-Indian detailing and glass trays are also available. 340 Royal Poinciana Way, 561.619.7827
