The Hive Bakery & Cafe is all the buzz with its fresh-baked bread and pastries, take-home dinners, coffee and more.
Adding to the already impressive list of Hive Collective businesses— including Hive Home, Gift & Garden, Hive for Her, Him & Kids, the Hive Trade Showroom and McCann Design Group—the recently launched Hive Bakery & Cafe brings spice to the company with its culinary excellence. Th e eatery specializes in Americanstyle cuisine with a savory focus on wood-fi red rotisserie cooking, seasonal vegetables, housemade pastries and artisanal breads. Th e brainchild of CEO and Creative Director Sara McCann, the culinary team is complete with the ultimate husband-and-wife duo, executive chef Jay Felton and executive pastry chef Amber Felton.
“I am so excited it is finally a reality I can share with my friends, family and clients. I always say that I would not carry anything in my stores that I would not want to wear myself or have in my own home, and the Bakery & Cafe follows the same principle,” shares McCann. “Of course, nothing says welcome like the smell of homemade bread and cookies baking, so not only do we believe it will be a wonderful addition to our instore experience, but the ability to stop in and get delicious, made-from-scratch items to go is one more layer in the process of making a house a home.”

As for the bites? Try pastry chef Amber Felton’s specialties from flourless chocolate cake and vanilla raspberry cruffin to her hazelnut date twice-baked croissant and Everything but the Kitchen Sink brownies. If you want more savory than sweet, chef Jay Felton has you covered with a plethora of fresh salads, homemade soups and gourmet sandwiches. McCann explains, “A key saying at McCann Design Group, Hive Trade Showroom and Hive Home, Gift & Garden is that we create homes that are not only beautiful but function flawlessly.” She continues, “For the Bakery & Cafe to ‘function flawlessly,’ it also needed to be convenient and off er options that address our busy lifestyles.”
With three dining experiences rolling out, it’s safe to say the Hive Bakery & Cafe has convenience and quality covered.
