With new programming, cultural partnerships and an idyllic design palette, find the ultimate getaway at The Colony Palm Beach this season.
Poolside at The Colony Hotel
The Colony Palm Beach—the island’s quintessential respite for all things luxury and beautiful—is prepared to take on the 2022 season with a lineup of fresh new partnerships and programming that will entice locals and out-of-towners to flock to the hotel’s pastel- and palm tree-laden haven all week long. Excelling in the ability to preserve its prolific historical roots while modernizing alongside the new generation of cultured clientele, The Colony presents leading collaborations with renowned interior designer Mark D. Sikes, tastemaker extraordinaire Aerin Lauder and the ultracool DJ Pamela Tick, as well as ongoing art installations in partnership with Voltz Clarke Gallery.

From freshly decked holiday decor curated by Lauder to a jaw-dropping new Villa Aralia designed by Sikes, The Colony beautifully marries high design with its lush, tropical surroundings to create its unique aesthetic. And, with the addition of Tick in the mix, the property brings the cultural vibrancy of music to the forefront of its programming, tapping into a new generation of creators that will enhance the pink paradise with lively entertainment and beats that will carry the audience to pure, euphoric bliss.

In light of her new residency with The Colony, which officially begins this month, we chat with Tick—who just gave birth to her firstborn!—to learn how she’s bringing her inimitable spirit and irresistible sets to the chic hotel. 155 Hammon Ave., Palm Beach
What can guests expect from your residency at The Colony this season? Pamela Tick takes on Palm Beach. We’ll be bringing back the excitement of travel and making sure everyone’s vacation has an added element of fun—mixing this glamorous place and its historic landmarks with my high energy, happy music and iconic beach girl style.

What drew you to this partnership? It’s all about experiences. Nothing sounded better than an opportunity to build a relationship with a hotel I am passionate about with turnover of new people each month. I’m excited to see how the crowd differs and how I can give back and connect with a new group of people. I am someone who is attracted to a vibe or a theme, and Palm Beach is a place that holds a lot of character, so I was excited to explore who I could be here. Being a resident DJ at one of the most charming hotels seemed like the perfect fit to get involved in one of the hottest cities of our time!
What is your favorite element of the hotel? The Colony Hotel was my first introduction to Palm Beach, and it was exactly as I imagined—a swanky and luxurious playground with an interior decoration that is captivating: pink, chic, tropical and straight out of a Slim Aarons mood board.
What inspires your music sets? My location always serves as the greatest inspiration. My surroundings make me feel a certain type of way, either bringing back memories or helping to create new ones. It’s important for me to get into the groove and feel on brand. From the culture, the place, the ambiance, the audience and everything in between, my music sets come to life.

After spending time in South Florida, what keeps you coming back and what do you love about it? The stone crabs and the energy! People in Florida always know how to have a good time, and I’m excited to be at the forefront of that energy through music.
