This summer St. John, the classic American heritage brand, has partnered with the Historical Society of Palm Beach County to give a glimpse into their upcoming exhibition, "Endless Summer: Palm Beach Resort Wear." St. John, a luxury house founded in 1962, has been dedicated to American elegance and simplicity all built on the premise of the original Knit Dress.
While staying true to their roots, St. John has successfully expanded into workshops and stores around the world with its collections being sold in specialty retailers of 16 different countries. Now, this fall, they are set to launch their newest exhibition, curated by Cameron Silver of Decades. To kick start this “St. John summer”, during the week of July 16th, the brand donated 10% of special initiatives to The Society of Palm Beach County.
Then, on July 21st, to give an exclusive sneak peek, St. John hosted a cocktail party, “Rosé in the Garden”, in partnership with The Palm Beaches. The event sponsors were, The Scout Guide Hamptons, Paul Labrecque Salon and Skincare, and Out East Rosé. This invite-only cocktail party celebrated the upcoming exhibit and the manifestation of “Endless Summer”. Displayed was one archive piece as well as a look from their Spring 2023 collection. The archive piece exemplified the heritage of the brand whilst the piece from the Spring collection displayed the “modern resort style” for which Palm Beach is known and loved. Lucky guests enjoyed Out East Rose, of course, along with a selection of decadent hors d'oeuvres that ranged from caviar on black pepper chips to fresh veggie spring rolls. The exhibition is set to open on November 8th in Palm Beaches and is promised to encapsulate the legacy of St. John as well as the beauty of Palm Beach fashion in a way never seen before. stjohnknits.com, pbchistory.org.
