Kim Renk Dryer together with her sister, Linda Renk, are the co-owners and co-founders of Sequin (sequin-nyc.com), the bauble-brimming empire headquartered in New York City and with stores in Newport and throughout South Florida. No stranger to the jewelry biz, Dryer spent 15 years developing jewelry lines for top designers in her role as an executive for Swank Inc. and has a long family history spanning 60 years in Palm Beach. At Dryer’s two Palm Beach shops, top sellers include gold-dipped talismans, zodiac charms, porcelain earrings and colorful enamel bracelets. Sequin has also manufactured lines for the likes of Badgley Mischka, Ralph Lauren Couture, Carolina Herrera and Madonna, among others, for almost two decades. Currently, the duo is collaborating with Lilly Pulitzer and Lauren Conrad. Dryer not only keeps Palm Beach looking fabulous, but she and her sister also fabulously donate their time and fortune to animal rescue groups that aid bunnies, dogs and then some (#sequincares). Also serving on the board of directors for the Southampton Animal Shelter and the Potter League for Animals, Dryer clearly has a heart of gold. Here, she reveals her Palm Beach favorite haunts.
