From New York to Florida, plastic surgeon Dr. David J. Pincus (pincusplasticsurgery.com) saves every youthful countenance with the latest aesthetic treatments and technologies. We polled the Palm Beach County pro on how to satisfy the doctor’s orders.
Why do you believe your practice is popular in Palm Beach County? I grew up in Palm Beach County and trained at the University of Miami for medical school. Over those years, I developed many relationships and a f lair for plastic surgery. I understood the Palm Beach County patient base and what’s needed. My results and reviews speak for themselves, and I try to be on the cutting edge of the latest trends, technologies, and surgical techniques.

What are some of the most popular treatments for clients in the area? Since South Florida is warm all year, making it always time for the beach, non-surgicals are always the most popular. These are nonsurgical treatments, including injectables, botox and fillers, and all of the lasers and radiofrequency treatments that have revolutionized the market in the last decade. Some of the more speedy recovery procedures—including breast augmentation, revision and reduction and liposuction—allow patients to get back to the beach as soon as possible.
What does a day in Dr. David J. Pincus’ life look like? I have three kids, two practices, and a home in each city. Depending on where I am, it’s either waking up early to go to the gym, drinking a coffee and protein shake, then getting ready for the operating room after ensuring my three boys are up and prepared to get to school. I start the day with some music—depending on my mood, it can be anywhere from classical to 90’s hip-hop to current hits. I look at the pictures of the patients, surgical plan in my head and then operate throughout the day. I see patients interspersed and after that, I spend time with the kids and loved ones.
What advice would you give someone interested in plastic surgery but doesn’t know where to start? The best advice I can give a potential plastic surgery patient is to go for a personal consultation with the surgeon performing your surgery and communicate your wants and needs. The right plastic surgeon is there not to convince you otherwise but to guide you through a combination of your wants with the physical reality of the result, given the technology available and the skill set of the plastic surgeon. Through experience and dialogue with the patient, we start the journey together with every patient.
