Foodies Rejoice: the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival is Back

Back and better than ever, the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival is gracing our shores for its 16th edition on December 7-10, 2023. Tickets are on sale now, so for the most popular events, you’ll want to score those asap. The festival returns with seven new events and expands its footprint into Boca Raton.

Featuring more than 26 tongue-tantalizing events across Palm Beach County, the festival is a four-day mashup sure to draw every foodie to a collection of tastings, parties, private dinners and cooking demos. The official host hotel for over a decade, celebrity-studded events are happening at Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, plus restaurants around the area, and then concluding with a bang with the Grand Tasting event at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. This year at the Festival’s Grand Tasting closing event, there will be an expanded wine program of over 60 wine tables pouring only selections with a prestigious 90+ rating by Wine Spectator, a significant growth from the dozen wine tables featured in the 2022 event.

Here’s the lowdown on what to expect with new additions and highlights for this year’s lineup:

• The festival kick-off party presented by Cheney Brothers — For the first time, the festival expands to the Boca Raton area in partnership with The Boca Raton, where ticket holders can expect a beautiful display of food, wine and spirits, prepared by executive chef Andrew Roenbeck and his team, along with an array of culinary options by guest chefs Lindsay Autry, Valerie Chang, Clay Conley, Duff Goldman, Sarah Grueneberg and Beau MacMillan.
• Don’t miss The First Bite, a four-course seated dinner with wine pairings features host chef Clay Conley and visiting chefs Joe Flamm, Stephanie Izard, and Ken Oringer at the Buccan kitchen. They’ll serve a family-style meal with premier wine pairings
• The return of Spice, featuring co-hosts Pushkar Marathe and BootlegGreg joined by guest chefs Tiffani Faison, Cheetie Kumar and Dean Max for this bold evening of cultural influences.
• Sure to be a showstopper, Dinner at Florie’s will include a five-course seated dinner with wine pairings hosted once again by Florie’s Chef de Cuisine Nino La Spina at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.
• Go beyond the border with host chef Julien Gremaud and guest chefs Giorgio Rapicavoli, Jordan Rubin and Stephen Stryjewski. The foursome serves dishes highlighting untraditional ingredients alongside phenomenal wine pairings.

• Guest chef Jordin Rubin from Mr. Tuna in Portland, Maine and chef Tim Lipman from Coolinary Café, along with The Parched Pig bar team will host and guide guests in creating two cocktails to celebrate the winter holidays in a festive and delicious way.
• Hosted by La Goulue executive chef Gwen Le Pape with featured chefs Michelle Bernstein and Ben Ford, guests can indulge in the extravagant four-course brunch prepared by this trio of South Florida’s top culinary talent.

• Celebrating its 12th year, the highly anticipated Daniel & Friends Brunch hosted by celebrity chef Daniel Boulud with Dieter Samijn and Julie Franceschini is back.
• Don’t miss the Grand Tasting this year with samplings from dozens of South Florida’s best restaurants.
• The annual Grand Chef Throwdown is also back, hosted by Mo & Sally and Jay Cashmere, welcoming three local chefs as they compete for the $10,000 local charity prize presented by Creekstone Farms. This year’s competition will be judged by celebrity chefs Maneet Chauhan and Robert Irvine.
• Explore the world of wine through the eyes of Master Sommelier Virginia Philip of Virginia Philip Wine Spirits & Academy as she offers insight into select wines’ color, aromas, flavors and acidity.

Highlighting a new charitable component, the festival will donate a portion of proceeds to benefit the Els for Autism Foundation, a n organization serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families worldwide.
