At the Dubin Family Residence, an intimate cocktail soirée titled, “A Toast to Music Education,” elegantly celebrated the enduring legacy of Nat King Cole and Nat King Cole Generation Hope (NKCGH), while highlighting the transformative power of music in education.
NKCGH co-founders Casey Cole-Ray and Timolin Cole-Augustus, the twin daughters of Nat King Cole, attended the event, and guests were treated to a captivating performance by the Lake Worth Community High School band ensemble.
NKCGH executive director Shanna St. John provided an overview of the charity’s impactful programs while the Cole twins shared their inspiring vision for the organization. The evening inspired attendees to raise funds and rally support for another benefit later this year, addressing the growing need for music enrichment in public schools amidst economic challenges and limited arts budgets.
