Mac Fabrics opened in downtown West Palm Beach in 1959 as a pioneer family-owned business, proudly offering an elevated quality of fabrics for over five decades. Sixty-five years later and still maintaining its shining reputation in the design realm, the brand celebrates an enormous milestone this year.
Undoubtedly, Mac Fabrics has stood the test of time but remains relevant and modern while evolving. In 2017, entrepreneur Sandy Costello acquired Mac Fabrics, ushering the store’s legacy into a new era. Expanding its footprint with a new 8,000-square-foot storefront, name and more extensive product selection, Costello’s rebrand— Mac Fabrics & Design Center—positioned the brand for long-term success. Complementing fabrics with furniture, wallpaper, home accessories and in-store design services was a recipe for residential and commercial interior success.
With deep roots in the Palm Beaches, the Design Center’s relocation into Northwood Village celebrates the past and nods to the future. This family business continues to elevate interior standards by tailoring each project to the client’s needs, adding a custom upholstery and drapery workshop and providing local delivery and installation services.
