IMOTO, THE BRAINCHILD of chef Clay Conley—who also operates Buccan next door—and his partners, Sam Slattery and Piper Quinn, opened this small, cozy sushi bar and grill in 2012, serving the freshest melt-in-your-mouth sushi, sashimi and Asian street food in town. Inspired by his time living and working in Japan, Conley combines traditional Japanese and Asian cuisine that makes Imoto packed every day of the week. Each dish is carefully crafted to delight the senses and provide an eating experience worthy of the gods. The tuna and foie gras sliders with mango salsa, the Peking duck tacos with plum sauce and the rock shrimp tempura served with exquisite dipping sauces are favorites, as are the delectable scallops flown in directly from Japan that are now on the menu permanently. Reservations are a must, unless you’re lucky enough to snag a seat at the sushi bar. 350 S. County Road, 561.833.5522
