Managed by Lessing’s Hospitality Group, the Pelican Club offers a range of dockside and cruise packages aboard this prestigious 93-foot wooden vessel, ideal for hosting weddings, parties, and other exclusive gatherings.
The top deck
Built in 1931 by Defoe Boat & Motor Works for Montgomery Ward tycoon Sewell Avery, the Honey Fitz has hosted five U.S. presidents, including Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard M. Nixon, and John F. Kennedy. Under the guidance of Charles R. Modica, a meticulous three-year restoration project was undertaken to preserve its historic charm, with a particular focus on its significance as a presidential yacht during the Kennedy Administration. Visitors can witness the yacht’s historical parts dating back to its origins in 1931, showcasing its role during World War II and its service throughout the presidential eras from 1945 to 1971.

The restoration efforts also included the integration of modern amenities, including state-of-the-art navigation systems, ensuring the Honey Fitz combines timeless elegance with functionality. This attention to detail culminated in its grand debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show in March 2023, where the restored yacht marked a new chapter in its storied history.
The sleeping quarters
Accommodating up to 35 guests, the Honey Fitz features a main saloon, sun deck, a fully equipped galley, and a private stateroom, all complemented by state-of-the-art navigation systems. The Pelican Club provides various packages, including an additional one hour on the yacht at the beginning of their event, offering guests an unparalleled experience on the water.
