Here are the best holiday lights displays to visit in Palm Beach to celebrate the season.
Holidays at The Square Downtown West Palm
This winter, beat the heat and bring out the jackets because its snowing in South Florida. From November 12th through December 23rd, experience a one-of-a-kind South Florida winter wonderland during the nightly snowfall on The Square with The Wishing Tree lightshow at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm. On top of festive lights and sights, the event is full of activites from photos with Santa and an interactive Mistletoe Trail to live holiday music. This event is completely free to the public and no reservations are required.
Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade
On Saturday, December 3rd, come watch a myriad of boats decked in lights, holiday adornments and other merry surprises as they make their way up the Intracoastal waterway from the North Palm Beach Marina to Jupiter. Whether you prefer to have a relaxing picnic at one of the parks along the Parade’s route or grab dinner with a view to enjoy the festivities from waterside restaurants, the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade is the event you can’t miss. Additionally, and for over 20 years, the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade has partnered with U.S. Marine Reserves Toys for Tots organization to collect gifts for local kids in need.
Lights 4 Hope at Okeeheelee Park
Organized by Lights 4 Hope, discover a holiday-themed drive-thru live show at Okeeheelee Park. From mid-November running through the beginning of January, the Light 4 Hope show includes over a mile of animated and musical holiday light displays. Additionally, every dollar from the event’s proceeds will be donated to local children and families in need.
The Flagler Museum's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
What better way to kick off the holiday season than with a 16-foot-tall Grand Hall Christmas Tree lighting? On December 4th, the Flagler Museum's tree is lit by the youngest members and descendants of the Flagler and Kenan families at the push of a button. The night is complete with festive music, performances by local choirs and a visit by Santa Claus. The event is free with museum admission and is held from 12 to 5 pm.
Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society's Zoo Lights
While the animals may be sleeping, the Palm Beach Zoo comes alive at night with its lights. With over one million eco-friendly lights, the Zoo will be illuminated with uniquely themed holiday displays throughout the entire 23 acres. And the fun doesn't stop there! Don't forget to get your picture with Santa, dance at the DJ holiday party and munch on seasonal treats! Tickets are available online now.
Boynton Beach Tree Lighting & Holiday Concert
Coinciding with Boynton Beach's First Friday at Five monthly concert series, the city's tree-lighting ceremony is kicking off at 5pm on Decemeber 2nd. The free concert features holiday music from local performers, along with local food truck and beverage vendors. Make sure to bring a chair and blankets, and sit back with the whole family to admire the kapok and banyan trees and more.
Holiday in Paradise
This season, celebrate in the sand with Holiday in Paradise's big reveal of Sandi—the 700-ton tree sculpture made of sand that crowns the waterfront each year in West Palm Beach. And how about a birds-eye view from above? This year, the City of West Palm Beach is adding a Ferris wheel to the celebration, which spans the entire month of December. Perched inside a gondola 65 feet up in the air, you can admire all of the holiday festivities, see boats decked out in Christmas lights and watch the nightly light shows.
Delray Beach 100-foot Christmas Tree
Celebrate BIG this season with the lighting of Delray Beach's 100-foot Christmas tree. Dated back to 1993, this Christmas tradition is fun for the whole family, complete with crafts, musicial performances, delicious bites and a surplus of holiday surprises. As one of the largest and most celebrated holiday events in Palm Beach, we know it will have you feeling the spirit of the season.
