Heart Ball

| April 9, 2018 | Parties National

American Heart Association’s Heart Ball spread the love with its 63rd annual Palm Beach event.

THE PARTY Synonymously known as the longest-running gala in Palm Beach and the premiere social event of the season—that supports lifesaving research and education programs to fight heart disease and stroke—the Heart Ball made a sublime return this past Valentine’s Day with an Alice in Wonderland-themed gala donning the moniker Through the Looking Glass. The beautifully decorated Venetian Ballroom at The Breakers set the philanthropic hearts of PB socialites, prominent families and longtime supporters of the gala ablaze. THE GUESTS Past honorary chairmen have included the likes of Joan Crawford, Sen. Jack Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, EsteĆ© Lauder, Lilly Pulitzer and several others. Cocktails in hand, guests were welcomed pre-dinner to a silent auction and models exhibiting the latest collection by Escada, followed by a dinner-dance and a full program emceed by American Heart Association Vice President and Executive Director Beth Mourelatos. THE HIGHLIGHTS Gala chairman Jeffrey Alderton said, “I want to thank the hundreds of people from Palm Beach and afar who came out to show their support. Without it, we couldn’t raise the critical funds needed to help us save thousands of lives each year.”
