Interior visionary Gale Sitomer of Gale Sitomer Design (galesitomerdesign.com) is making major design waves in Palm Beach County. Here, Sitomer gives us a glimpse at her interior inspiration and her latest Palm Beach project.
Gale Sitomer’s design aesthetic is embeeded into every apect of her latest Palm Beach project.
How is your eye for design embedded into this Palm Beach home?
The Palm Beach home is a perfect example of merging clients’ thoughts as to how they felt their new purchase should function. Their extensive art collection, the family size, and the comfort of Florida living were tantamount to them. It’s bright, spacious and coordinated perfectly. Working in Palm Beach was a dream project. We had wonderful clients who respected our aesthetic, and it helped that they had great taste.
What made you first get into the field of interior design?
Since starting my company 22 years ago, I’ve learned that integrating usable comfort with a range of design aesthetics always creates a successful outcome. Nothing is more rewarding than our clients who love the design we have created, for which we have spent hours upon hours making decisions on their behalf. We’ve been fortunate to have almost all our clients as repeat clients, as they’ve loved the process as have we.
Sitomer caters to her client’s requests in this Palm Beach home.
How would you describe your approach to each project?
Along with my partner, Cara Velten, we listen carefully to clients’ ideas and mostly learn how they live to create a beautifully executed home. We take into account all aspects of their lifestyle, merging their ideas to create an iconic design. How lucky getting to experience that “wow” moment when their dreams are realized.
What does an ideal day look like for you as an interior designer?
An ideal day for me is spending time with my children and grandchildren whether in Florida, NYC or the Hamptons. Wherever they are, is where I want to be.
