CHASIN A DREAM FOUNDATION EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
After recognizing a pressing need in her community, Lori Griffith, the executive director of Chasin A Dream Foundation, embarked on a mission to spotlight the stories of local youth battling life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. From cancer and cerebral palsy to cystic fibrosis, spinal cord injuries and sickle cell, Griffith and the foundation support children undergoing treatment every step of the way.
Since its establishment in 2017, the Chasin A Dream Foundation has experienced exponential growth under Griffith’s leadership. Within this past year, 580 children have been supported through the foundation’s various programs with over $145,000 in financial assistance provided to 67 families. Other highlights include the launch of a Moms Mental Wellness Program, the distribution of 95 hospital backpacks and two service animals currently in training.
Even in the face of adversity, her resolve to support families remains steadfast. “When COVID hit, we had so many families relying on us that failure was not an option,” says the executive director. “Our goal is to help as many as we can in a meaningful way be it financial assistance, emotional support, food or medical equipment.”
