Palm Beach
In Living Color
A collaboration between interior designer Betsy Wentz of Studio B and architect Thomas Kirchhoff for the recent Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, this sanctuary of a bathroom charms with color and texture. “We wanted to create a bathroom that dazzled, where the client could enjoy themselves and linger,” says Wentz. “The design was inspired by Palm Beach’s colorful resort style.” While Kirchhoff optimized the flow of the space with an open shower, Wentz added life by mixing various Schumacher wallpaper and fabric patterns on the walls, curtains and some furniture. Two shower heads ensure even the quickest of baths is a spalike experience. Nearby, organization was a priority with closet hardware systems from The Container Store. A lilac mosaic stone tile feature serves as artwork in the room. And as for that vintage chaise lounge near the organically shaped free-standing tub? Well, why not?
