Being A Member Of The Flagler Club Has Its Perks

“I am the Breakers,” jokes Bernard Nicole, assistant manager of the Flagler Club, a boutique hotel within The Breakers Palm Beach. The hospitality pro has been working at the luxurious property for over 38 years and now helps sell and run the chic hotel’s exclusive 25-room guesthouse. Flagler Club guests are given special perks and accommodations, including ultrapersonalized service from a staff of highly trained hotel pros, on call and at your service 24/7—including a chauffeured house car service via Tesla. The Club’s swanky PranaSleep Super Vinyasa adjustable beds are decked out in Frette linens; the bathrooms are fully stocked with L’Occitane en Provence premium products and a Dyson hair dryer—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. In-room treats are given daily, including wine and chocolates specially created for guests of the Flagler Club. In fact, the hotel’s famed sommelier, Virginia Philip, helped create a decadent custom bottle of wine exclusive to the Club itself. Guests are also able to enjoy free breakfast, light fare and cocktail hour, along with postdinner dessert and cordials in the Club’s sixth-floor living room and outdoor terrace. The space was designed by famed interiors guru Adam D. Tihany (who also spearheaded many designs throughout the rest of the hotel) and is meant to be a sleek and chic, yet warm and inviting space in which guests can relax. “This is your living room to use whenever you want,” cheerfully explains Nicole, who takes great pride in the space—almost as if it were his own. “Guests get to experience the familiar and cozy energy here, away from the hustle and bustle of the gigantic resort. We take great pride in our Club’s role as the consummate host, and our goal is to provide every guest with a truly unique and memorable experience,” says Tricia Taylor, executive vice president and general manager of The Breakers Palm Beach.
