Barbour is thrilled to partner with leading U.S. fashion retailer Nordstrom to debut its signature Rewax Factories at six of the retailers’ locations.
Locations include Nordstrom Michigan Avenue (Chicago), Nordstrom Tysons Corner (DC Metro), Nordstrom NYC Men’s Store (New York), Nordstrom Downtown Seattle (Seattle Flagship), and Nordstrom The Plaza at King of Prussia (Pennsylvania).
Each installation will be open for four weeks as of September 20th.
The six Nordstrom stores will feature Barbour’s Rewax Factory with the aim to showcase the sustainable benefits of owning a Barbour wax jacket while giving the customer the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of wax and allow them to understand how owning a Barbour jacket is an investment in quality.

Barbour waxed cotton is ideal for modern life. It is constructed with practicality and functionality in mind. Each wax jacket is renowned for its durability, weather-resistant properties, and a patina that just improves with age.
Renewable and sustainable, it remains one of the toughest and most durable fabrics available. The wax coatings provide a protective overlayer to the outerwear, strengthening the product’s longevity.
Customers can bring their Barbour jackets to the Rewax Factory, which is outfitted with heated tables, for skilled experts to conduct the rewaxing process on the jackets at no cost.
The experts will not only be on hand to rewax worn-in Barbour jackets but can also advise on best practices when it comes to rewaxing Barbour jackets at home using Barbour’s Classic 6oz Wax tin.
Additionally, if a customer purchases a Barbour jacket at the Rewax Factory, they will receive a complimentary rewax at Barbour’s Rewax & Repair facility after one year of wear.
Each year Barbour rewaxes or repairs over 60,000 jackets and sells more than 100,000 wax tins and rewax kits globally. In 2019, Barbour developed the Wax for Life program to bring together all of Barbour’s unique wax services under one program. Rewax Factories have also been opened in Selfridges in both London and Birmingham, which is just another excuse to go to the best store in the world.
Disclaimer: You'll probably get lost in there for hours and hours.
A re-waxing service that began with Malcolm Barbour’s vision 100 years ago remains an integral part of Barbour’s sustainability strategy today. Wax for Life is at the heart of Barbour’s ongoing commitment to minimize its impact on the environment for future generations.
Look good, and do good while doing it.
