The third edition of the Art Palm Beach Show promises to be a worldly experience. From Jan. 22 to 26, the Palm Beach County Convention Center transforms into an eclectic art fair. Visitors will be greeted by Viktor Freso’s 30-foot bear sculpture, presented by the Danubiana Museum from Bratislava, Slovakia, before experiencing modern and contemporary art within 80 gallery booths spanning the USA and seven countries.

Art Palm Beach producer and director Kassandra Voyagis elaborates, “As Palm Beach continues to evolve as a global luxury destination, our show serves as a platform to enrich our local arts ecosystem and reinforce our community’s position on the world stage of contemporary art.”
Since 1941, The Norton Museum of Art has been a cornerstone of the arts near West Palm Beach, increasing its contemporary art exhibitions and programming. It also introduced an Emerging Photographers Award in 2013 and increased its permanent collection holdings with a 2018 gift from Howard and Judie Ganek. This cutting-edge exchange is expanded by the Bunker Artspace, featuring the collection of patron Beth Rudin DeWoody, an advocate for open artistic expression.

“It’s exhilarating to see the international art community embrace South Florida as a tropical hub of idea exchange,” shares Andi Potamkin, art collector and Director of Business Development at Potamkin Companies.
Both Palm Beach and West Palm Beach are home to avid art aficionados who attend Miami’s art and design fairs and travel globally.

“I am drawn to the strong use of material in art and prefer to collect pieces where the artist’s story is as interesting as the pieces themselves. This is why I love working with Southern Guild gallery to acquire pieces by South African artists like Zizipho Poswa and Kamyar Bineshtarigh,” concludes Potamkin.

With global art markets so accessible, local art fairs must differentiate their vision while competing for top purchases. “I am truly energized by the growing international participation and the incredible possibilities this creates for our future fair editions,” concludes Voyagis. 650 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, norton.org, thebunkerartspace.com, artpalmbeach.com
