Before bidding au revoir to summer and bounding headfirst into pumpkin spice, celebrity Chef Daniel Boulud offered guests the opportunity to experience the true rosé lifestyle of the French Riviera at his locations in Palm Beach, Miami, New York and around the world.
Of course, those of us here in South Florida tend to sip rosé year round, but the Boulud Sur Mer theme promises a transport beyond our shores to the South of France, all while clinking glasses from Château d’Esclans, a magical winery situated in the heart of Provence. The vision of Sacha Lichine with his acquisition of the Château in 2006 was to create the greatest rosés in the world igniting the “Rosé Renaissance” and Chef Daniel Boulud chose the winery once again to feature in his summer series.
“Like so many people, I would love to be able to spend my summer on the French Riviera,” says Boulud. “Boulud Sur Mer is a wonderful opportunity for me to bring a little piece of that Riviera lifestyle to my restaurants in New York City, Florida and around the world. It has been a pleasure to once again partner with Château d’Esclans to bring the exceptional cuisine and wine of the South of France to our guests worldwide.”
Guests who were able to partake in the offering this summer enjoyed a special Provençal-style menu paired perfectly with the wine inspired by the flavors, sights and smells of the Cote d’Azur. Boulud offered this menu at his locations in Palm Beach, Miami, New York, the Bahamas, Dubai and Montreal.
“We were honored to continue our partnership for another season with Chef Daniel Boulud and his culinary team for Boulud Sur Mer,” says Sacha Lichine, Founder and President of Château d’Esclans. “We’re thrilled to continue to bring the rosé lifestyle to these prestigious establishments so that all can experience the true essence of the South of France.”
No worries if you missed this sizzling summer special because you can still order Château d’Esclans brand wines like Whispering Angel or Rock Angle at any of Chef Boulud’s namesake restaurants, where you are sure to savor cuisine that the Michelin-starred restauranteur is famous for. A culinary innovator and iconic entrepreneur, Chef Boulud founded The Dinex Group in 1993 with his eponymous restaurant, DANIEL, growing it today to multiple venues around the world.
And what’s next in Palm Beach for Café Boulud at the iconic Brazilian Court? They just announced an introduction of their Afternoon Tea service, which will be available daily from 3 to 5 p.m. Think dainty and delicious finger foods like delicate concombre, saumon fumé and jambon beurre sandwiches as well as still-warm scones. But the pastries by executive pastry chef Julie Franceschini are the main attraction: tarte au citron infused with lemon curd, sablé, fresh raspberry; an elegant slice of opéra cake with almond dacquoise; coffee buttercream; chocolate ganache; and panna cotta, served with seasonal fruit coulis. How about freshly baked madeleines!? While the British may have started high tea, leave it to Chef Boulud to add a French twist.
