Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society

This Wild Philanthropic Evening is scheduled for January 31, 2020 at the Zoo

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 16, 2019) The Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society will celebrate its annual “Tropical Safari” gala on Friday, January 31, 2020, on the lush, tropical grounds of the Palm Beach Zoo in West Palm Beach. Michele Kessler, Chairman of the Zoo’s board of directors, and Thomas C. Quick, board member, will serve as chairmen of the only black-tie event where hundreds of guests can mingle with wildlife. Honorary chairpersons are Greg, Julie and Mike Connors.

Supporting the Zoo’s conservation mission and expert animal care, the Tropical Safari Gala begins at 7:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a haute cuisine dining experience, dancing to Sultans of Swing, a live auction, and up-close encounters with the Zoo’s majestic denizens.

The Gala supports the Zoo’s global efforts to preserve the planet’s most threatened species and habitats, including Sassy, the Zoo’s orphan Florida panther, Swallow-tail kites and coral reefs. Tropical Safari will honor the generous support of longtime Zoo ambassadors, Lillian and Luis Fernandez, with the Gala Stewardship Award to celebrate their enduring leadership and wildlife advocacy.
